Astrology Readings FAQs
What is an astrology reading?
An astrology reading is an astrologer’s interpretation of your life through the lens of astrology. It almost always begins in the same place: your birth chart, the position of the planets at the exact moment and place you were born. From there, a reading can take different directions. It can stay with your chart alone, look at the bond between you and another person (a synastry reading), or follow what the planets are moving through right now and how it touches you (a transit reading).
Whatever its kind, a reading is what happens when someone sits with your chart long enough to understand it: how your planets speak to one another, where they agree, where they ask different things of you, and what all of it says about who you are.
Born Under Saturn offers three readings, each one written by an astrologer, by hand, from your chart. Today that is no longer something to take for granted.
The One Question Astrology Reading is the most open of the three, because you choose the subject. It can be a question about your life, like “What should I know about starting a family?”, or a more astrological one, like “What does my chart say about my long-term relationships?” or “…about my career?”. The answer comes through your chart, translated into the language of psychology and everyday life, so you don’t need to be an astrology expert to follow it.
The other two follow a more traditional path. Your Unique Sun, Moon and Rising Reading explores your Big Three and how they live together in you. The Personalized Birth Chart Reading reads your whole chart, every part of it, as one story.
Is an astrology reading accurate?
The chart itself is exact. Given the right date, time and place of birth, the position of every planet is a matter of calculation, as precise as mathematics.
The reading is interpretation, because astrology is a language of symbols. So yes, a reading can be remarkably accurate, in a different way from a calculation. It doesn’t measure you, it describes you: the way you love, what you keep coming back to. Whether it rings true is something only you can say, and that is how it should be.
Can't I just ask AI, or use a free calculator?
You can, and both are a good place to begin. Born Under Saturn has its own free tools: the Birth Chart, Moon Sign, Compatibility and Current Transits calculators. They show you what is in your chart.
An AI can then describe each placement one after another, often fluently, and sometimes connect a few of them together. It also has its limits, from miscalculated aspects to readings that flatter more than they reveal, as explored in AI Birth Chart Reading: Can You Trust ChatGPT?.
A birth chart, though, is a system more than a list of placements. An astrologer looks at the whole chart first, finds its main lines and the placements that carry the most weight, and starts the interpretation from there. That takes a person, and time. And that’s what we offer here, with our readings.
None of this takes anything away from a good horoscope, and Born Under Saturn writes those too, in the Horoscopes section. The difference is who it is written for. A horoscope is written for one twelfth of the world. A reading is written for one person.
Which reading should I choose?
Start from what is on your mind right now.
If there is one thing you keep turning over, a decision or a relationship you are trying to make sense of, the One Question Astrology Reading reads your chart around it.
If you want to understand the three pillars of who you are, and how your Sun, Moon and Rising live together in you, choose Your Unique Sun, Moon and Rising Reading.
If you want the whole map, every planet, house and aspect, major and minor, read as one story, the Personalized Birth Chart Reading is the most complete reading Born Under Saturn offers.
What kind of question can I ask in a One Question reading?
Anything about your own life that you would like to see more clearly: your work and direction, a relationship, a choice in front of you, a period that feels different from the ones before.
Open questions give the chart more room, because a reading looks at who you are more than at what will happen. “What kind of work would feel like mine?” leaves more space than “Is this the right job for me?”.
A reading can’t take the place of a doctor, a lawyer or a therapist, and questions in those areas are best brought to them. You will find more questions’ examples on the One Question Astrology Reading page.
How will I receive my reading, and when?
Your reading arrives by email as a designed PDF. There is no call to book and no hour you need to keep free: you open it when you choose and read it at your own pace, and it stays with you, to return to whenever you want.
Each reading is studied and written individually, so it can’t arrive instantly. The delivery time is shown on each reading’s page and at checkout, and only a limited number of readings are open at a time. If the day comes and you don’t see it, have a look in your spam folder.
Who writes the readings?
Born Under Saturn was founded by Deborah Rossetto, astrologer and author of Born Under a Rising Sign, a book on the 144 combinations of Sun and Rising signs. Readings are prepared by Deborah and by members of the Born Under Saturn astrology team, all reading a chart the same way: slowly, as a whole, with care. Every line is written by an astrologer who has spent time with your chart.

Will my reading only tell me what I want to hear?
Every reading starts from your chart and describes it as it is. Some charts are mostly harmonious, others hold more tension, and most have a little of both. All of it is read with the same care.
In a One Question reading, the answer follows what your chart says about your question, even when it points somewhere you didn’t expect. In a Sun, Moon and Rising reading, your three placements may move in the same direction or ask different things of you. In a birth chart reading, your whole chart is there, with everything it holds.
Wherever your chart asks something harder of you, it is written as a place where you grow, never as a flaw or a verdict. A reading is there to help you see yourself, and that includes the parts that are still taking shape.
