Can I Calculate My Rising Sign Without an Exact Birth Time?

No, not reliably. The Rising Sign is determined by the zodiac sign rising on the eastern horizon at the precise moment and location of birth. Because the Ascendant changes approximately every two hours – and sometimes more quickly depending on latitude – even a relatively small error in the recorded time can produce a different Rising Sign or significantly change its degree.

Your birth date alone is therefore not enough. To calculate the Ascendant accurately, you need your date, place, and exact time of birth. When the birth time is unknown, an astrologer may attempt a process called birth-time rectification, using major life events and personal characteristics to estimate it, but the result remains an interpretation rather than a guaranteed calculation.
